It’s still hot outside, but this time of the year makes me think twice when buying clothes. I don’t invest in summery items when fall is right around the corner, so finding pieces that stretch across seasons is important.

I recently purchased this off the shoulder top from Chicwish and it’ll be a great staple for the colder days. Also, I like that even though you’re covered up, the shoulder exposed gives you a little hint of skin. I’ve fully embraced the off the shoulder trend and I think it’s here to stay for a while. We will be seeing more of this look as we go into the winter.

Happy Fall shopping! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

I am loving this new white flowy top from Chicwish. It makes me feel slim and lean in the shoulders, which I am all for. I mean I work hard at my pilates & barre classes, but anything to help you feel good about your features is a plus! I paired it with my favorite BLANKNYC jeans that are super comfy and heels from Lulus. The best part about the heels? They are only $25! Not too shabby for great shoes that don’t hurt your feet.

Sidenote: These Olympics are so addicting and I have been staying way too late watching the events. I record them and watch after Lily goes to bed. I can’t get enough of the swimming & gymnastics and will be so sad when they are over. Simone is such a fun gymnast to watch and her smile/energy is infectious!

I love natural layering pieces and this Urban Outfitters jacket is one of them. It goes with everything and very versatile. This time I paired it with a simple black muscle tee and denim shorts. I like the easy look of minimal pieces together & topped it off with a black bandana. A camel jacket is such a great transitional piece for fall and I will definitely be wearing this with jeans & sweaters as the weather cools down.

True story: This winter, I went on a major cleaning spree & got rid of half of my clothing. Most of the clothes were old work clothes & tops I wore when I was newly pregnant. It felt great, but then I was left with a few measly itemss in an empty closet. I wanted a fresh start and to shed old pieces that were old or worn out. And then I decided to start a style blog. Ha! Great timing I know. But now, I am trying to rebuild my wardrobe with pieces that I love and that both modern & versatile.

So two pieces that I purchased the other day was this black felt hat and sleeveless light weight sweater from Forever 21. I was very impressed that I found a good quality hat under $30! My head is so small sometimes it’s hard to find hats fit & look good. This one is great and I can’t wait to wear it during the fall/winter. Loving this simple, yet clean look.

White lace has been everywhere this summer & it’s such a clean, crisp look. I love this dress from ASOS I purchases earlier this summer. It was hard to actually pick one because of the amount to choose from & I had to make sure I found the perfect dress. The pattern of the lace has a modern, unique twist & that’s what drew me to it.

I wanted to keep the lace the star of the show, so I only accessorized with espadrilles, straw hat & sunnies. However, there are endless possibilities of how to style a closet staple like this. You can easily throw on a jean jacket & flat sandals for a casual look or pair it with heels for a dressier occasion.

A good quality, comfortable, versatile shirt is hard to find. But I am loving this black lace up top from Lulu’s. It is so easy to throw on with shorts and sandals for a casual look. Or bump it up a notch with jeans and heels for a night out. This is also a great piece that can transition from summer to fall. I will most likely be pairing it with a leather jacket in the cooler months.

I have seen this lace up trend on a variety of tops, dresses and even skirts & decided to try it out. I think I’m a fan!

For this look, I wanted to keep it easy & simple. I love mixing cream and black together for a minimalistic vibe. I have trying to simplify my life lately & my style is no exception. It is so satisfying to declutter my house & closet. Best feeling ever! So I feel like this outfit is reflective of me being super OCD and having spring cleaning fever all summer long 🙂

Summer is going by so quickly and I can’t believe it’s already half way over! Last summer, my daughter was a still newborn. So this go around, we are thoroughly enjoying lots of pool & family time. She is such a little fish & it is fun to watch her splash around!

I feel blue & white are such perfect colors for the season. They remind me of the beach/water & paired together are very calming. I love this Chicwish top worn with white shorts & neutral accessories. Very simple, yet chic & sophisticated.

Summer is getting heating up & I am loving this easy, breezy look. Off the shoulder shirts are great bc they evaluate the outfit a bit while helping you stay nice & cool. Pairing neutrals together is a good way to keep a look on the monochromic side, which I am a fan of. I am not a huge color person, even though small pops of color are nice once in a while. Lastly, the hat is a nice addition & adds another element to this relatively simple, chic outfit.

Wearing black is such an easy way to simplify an outfit. You can’t go wrong with this chic color & it is always in style. Paired with minimal accessories and a statement wedge, this outfit is a go to for me. If in doubt of what to wear, I always reach for a black dress, top, bag, etc. Living in NYC for years also helped cultivate my love of wearing dark colors. And affinity for brunch 🙂
