Something about a jumpsuit is so light and breezy — an effortless piece that can be easily thrown on for maximum comfort. The versatility factor is high as you can pair that with heels for a dressier vibe or keep it relaxed with summer slides. A perfect, minimal look with maximum impact.
Summertime is meant for easy, breezy pieces that are lightweight and can help you stay cool in the heat. This effortless ASOS dress has a feminine flare that can be worn as one shoulder or off the shoulder. Being able to switch up the sleeves gives the dress a whole different look and yet another reason why I’m obsessed.
I love finding items that can elevated with a pair of espadrilles for a party or dressed down with chic slides and sunnies — you need versatility in the warm weather because donning a thick, formal cocktail dress isn’t exactly comfortable on a streamy summer’s eve. Especially when your makeup is already sliding off your face! (That’s way I can’t leave the house without my favorite NYX setting spray — it’s a miracle worker.) Make sure you check out some of my picks for striped maxis that I have linked down below.
As the weather heats up, it’s fun to make the most of the beautiful evenings by squeezing in a date night here and there. Since my husband and I usually pick low key places to go, I like keeping my outfits fairly comfortable and effortless. But regardless of where you go, the same formula can be applied to casual or high end outings.
1 . Start with your base. An easy dress or cropped skinny jeans are my date night staples. I start with something that fits the mood of the restaurant and overall feel of the night, then build the rest of my outfit around it.
2 . Throw on a jacket. Leather jackets can really spice up a basic look or military jackets can tone down a sophisticated dress for a more balanced look. Having a top layer can add an extra statement and to throw over your shoulders can save you from that extra breeze on an outdoor patio.
3 . Add a neutral sandal or heel. For us short gals, neutral shoes are a game changer. Anything to help my legs is a win in my book! Plus these Senso sandalsare heavenly and fairly cushioned for a flat sandal. The suede helps give the shoe more of a luxe look and not to mention soft!

I am always looking for ways to mix up different items in my closet. One of the easiest ways is to play with textures and find pieces that balance each other. Take for instance this suede skirt. I’ve always had a hard time deciding what to pair it with due to it’s sexy edge and rich color. But this boho tee and sandals really dress down the look, thus giving it an effortless feel. Now I am discovering how the versatile this skirt is and excited to see what other outfits I can create with it.
Striking a balance between “high” and “low” fashion takes some creativity, but sometimes can make for interesting & innovative outfits. For instance, try pairing a basic tank or top with a statement bottom or minimal slides with an over-the-top dress can tone down the overall vibe. If you stay inventive and open minded about outfit possibilities, your style will never fail you 🙂

Neutrals are such an essential part of my wardrobe and are always what I reach for first. Although stripes come in a close second! I am always up for a good print, but I am so picky and it’s settle hard to find the “perfect” one whenever I online shop. So I tend to like to the “mix and match” ability that neutrals provide and naturally gravitate towards a cohesive color palette – with a few pops of color occasionally sprinkled in.
So whatever colors spark your fancy, be it brights, florals, jewel tones or pastels – wear them with confidence and let them help cultivate your own sense of style!
