White isn’t a color that should just be reserved for summer months. It is clean, bright and can be impactful when it involves chunky textures and soft layers. Cozy sweaters paired with your favorite jeans give off a laid back vibe for the winter and a combo that I love to wear often. So don’t be afraid to break the “no white after labor day” rule because isn’t fashion all about having fun and taking risks?

Monochromatic layers are one of my favorite ways to dress in the colder months. The shades of grey give this look a light and airy feel, yet still delivers a bold statement. A cozy scarf and oversized coat help cultivate a laid back, effortless vibe and comfort is key when you are fighting the harsh, winter elements.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!

I love statement piece that are minimal, yet impactful. This quilted, cozy pullover is the perfect piece for cold days and can be pair for a chic yet leisure look. As much as I like to throw on a sweater, having a good, versatile alternative is always good to have on hand. Add in the fact that is in a classic color such as black and bam, you have a perfect winter item you can rock all season long!

Cozy, yummy sweaters and a great pair of jeans is my go-to look for the past few months. I am obsessed with thicker knit sweaters and am loving this over neutral palette of this look. As you know, I can’t get enough of grey in my life and this pair of Paige jeans are perfect mix of comfort and cut (perfect for a petite lady like myself). Sticking to my love of simple, yet effortless style, I kept it clean with some of my favorite accessories. This Zara bag  and mules from ASOS are the perfect touch & add a bit of sophistication and interest to the outfit.

How to Add Subtle Holiday Glitz

Dressing up for the holidays is always fun because lots of lace, velvet and glitz is involved. Now I love a little shimmer now and again, but sometimes a subtle hint of sparkle is a tad more chic. Below are some suggestions how to dress for the occasion without looking like a glitter bomb (except if that’s your goal, then go for it!)

1 . A Jeweled Choker – An elegant way to elevate any outfit and I am loving combining different pieces together. There are so many creative ways to layer your necklaces, bracelets and rings. Play around and see what’s work best for you!

2 . A Statement Bag – The perfect touch to complete your holiday look, like this one from Zara. Something with a bit of texture or glitz will spice up your outfit and will certainly get you attention as soon as you enter the room!

3 . A Metallic Tank – Be bold and go for a fun metallic piece to layer under a blazer or coat. This is a sophisticated and stylish way to dazzle without putting on a sparkle of glitter.

4. Studded Boots – This is one of my favorite ways to add some flair to a holiday look. Studded, bejeweled, buckles, zippers and embellished..so many options to choice from and can make quite the fashionable statement.

If you are interested, these ankle strap heels are very comfortable and I like the buckle detail of these. They are somewhat classic, yet on trend and I can see myself getting lots of wear out of them.

Simple styling is sometimes a breath of fresh air. When there’s too many layers or accessories going on, it can seem a bit busy. Though everyone’s style and tastes are different, I like when individual pieces can have their own moment. The neutral colors paired the white button down really pop and this versatile look could go nicely with any coat or bag. Having an easy go-to outfit is great when you’re in a hurry and you don’t know what to put on. I think this maybe my new favorite!

Black Friday was pretty successful this year considering I found great deals on items that I have been eyeing for months. Sales are my true weakness and my husband always tells me that just because it’s on sale, doesn’t mean it’s free. That statement is usually met with an eyeroll, but it’s so true! So this year I tried to be picky about what I bought and kept a few things on a mental wish list. These Dolce Vita boots have been at top of the list since fall began and they were worth the wait. The zipper detail adds a bit of edge and really comfortable due to the low heel. I feel they are flattering on a gal with short legs and don’t cut off my calf like some of my other booties do. Plus they are under $100 and I had a hard time deciding what color to get. I also got this pair as well in brown and am loving them as well.

This scarf I snagged on Black Friday from Madewell and it is really soft! I love the pattern and it’s very versatile with my wardrobe.

Grey is one color that I can’t seem to stay away from. It always calls my name and I end up giving in to it’s enticing void of color. Not that I don’t love color or enjoy a good jewel tone every now and again, I just gravitate towards neutrals when it comes to clothing. Just a personal preference and I understand some people may find it boring. But for me, it is soothing for me to dress in muted colors. I am not sure if that’s the right word for how I feel, but I love monochromatic palettes and my love of black lends itself to the grey. So when you find something that makes you feel confident and the best version of yourself, stick with it!

Neutrals have been have been my jam lately and I can’t seem to get enough of them. Mixing and matching these shades makes getting dressed fast and easy! Since weekends are typically filled with family time, running errands and an occasional date night, I love being able to pull out almost any neutral item and not having to put much thought into what to wear with it. Especially when you have a little one to dress as well as yourself 🙂

This blazer is from Chicwish and since it’s a little oversized, it’s the perfect jacket to drape over your shoulders for a chic touch.
